Friday Reflections, Volume II.

After what seems like a rather quick week, I am once again thinking about what's been achieved. How have I pushed the needle each day? What have I learned (or built) that brings me closer to my life preferences? Well, strangely enough, two inanimate objects let me tick the preference box; a laundry basket and a dumbbell set. The point being that these items complete the home, and will bring more energy to my personal life. Ever since the Pandemic and the Big Move, I have been unable to swim regularly; I can feel myself physically ebbing away. So no more of that! And how does a laundry basket do this exactly? Well, it's sturdy and prevents clutter in the bedroom. And god how I hate clutter.

More importantly, and perhaps my real point here, I commit myself to betterment every bloody day. It can come in all shapes and sizes; writing, organising, chilling with my favourite person and my favourite dog, reflecting. It reminds me actually, I do have to buy a new journal. Treat myself and go for a hardback effort. I digress. Pushing the needle is perhaps the reason for being. Am I learning? Am I discovering? Do I satisfy my curiosity?

I am far from perfect; the needle pushing and building remains inconsistent. Some days are much more productive than others. But I show up. I set myself the task of Doing Something. Every. Single. Day. It feels like I am heading in the right direction. I have a rough idea of the outcome, but cannot know for sure. And that is the journey right there, isn't it?

Signing out, Steven.
