If I am no longer writing to heal, then what the hell am I writing about? The answer has literally just popped into my head, travelled down my arms, exited via my fingers, and arrived onto my keyboard. It seems so obvious now. This is being filmed live, unscripted and in full technicolour, folks. I am documenting my own journey to a much better place.

This site creates a cosmic flywheel. It generates an energy and motivation that is now spilling over into other parts of my life. Until very recently I utterly cherished the limited time I had to write. I'd wrap up a post with a sigh, knowing I had to return to a tired, greying corporate world. It felt like my real life extended to only 30% of my waking hours. Now I bring the colour of creativity into all parts of my day.

We really missed a trick by discarding centuries of tradition for top down planning and Starchitects. To be fair, the trauma of two world wars provided ample justification for doing so. But after a few decades of building motorways, shopping arcades and suburbia, I believe we are at an inflection point.

2004 was a very different world. A physical CD. A plastic case. A paper booklet. In the 17 years since we have complete transformed how we consume music. Really makes you wonder what the next 17 years has in store for us. What the hell will be doing in 2038?

When I enter the twitter bear pit and see howls of anguish on one side, and cries of joy on the other, I head straight for the middle. I remain composed and think about the low time preference world that I believe is emerging. Nothing is certain, of course. But quiet conviction lets me navigate the shifting sands of sentiment.

I thought I'd write a little about a film that has fascinated me for years; Koyaanisqatsi. A film with zero dialogue, zero plot and zero cast.

I'm always up for brooding electronica. Boards of Canada offer that in spades. There must be something about the Scottish psyche, as we all seem to be attracted to melancholy and darkness. Works for me though because their work is bloody fantastic.

Enter notion. Instead of monotony, we have emojis. Instead of endless folders, we have galleries. It is a robust back-end to complement my digital presence.
